Chap. 203.—An ACT to authorize the city councils of Norfolk to increase the
compensation of the assesors of lands and lots for the year 1900.

Approved February 15, 1901.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the coun-
cils of the city of Norfolk be, and they hereby are, authorized to increase
the compensation heretofore provided for the assessors of lands and lots in
the city of Norfolk for the year nineteen hundred, in the further amount
of six hundred dollars to each of the three assessors appointed to make
such assessments in accordance with chapter twenty-three of the code of
Virginia, edition of eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, and the amend-
ments thereto; said further compensation to be paid out of the treasury
of the city of Norfolk.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
