Chap. 181.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act for the
protection of game in Floyd county, approved March 7, 1894.
Approved February 15, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an act
entitled an act for the protection of game in Floyd county, approved
March seventh, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
That it shall not be lawful to kill or capture partridges in the county
f Floyd between the first day of February and the fifteenth day of Octo-
er, nor to kill or capture pheasants or wild turkeys between the first
ay of March and the first day of October of any year, and it shall not
: lawful to kill or capture partridges, wild turkeys, rabbits or any other
ild game at any time to be sold, shipped or taken out of the county,
to catch partridges, pheasants or wild turkeys with nets or traps, or
» take or destroy their eggs.
2. And it shall not be lawful for any merchant, tradesman or any other
erson to buy any wild game at any time, to be handled, shipped or taken
it of the county of Floyd.
3. Any person who shall violate any provision of this act shall, upon
omviction, be fined not less than ten dollars nor more than fifty dollars,
nd shall be committed to jail by the justice or judge presiding at the
‘ial until the fine and costs are paid.
4. All acts and parts of acts in conflict with this act are hereby
spealed.
5. This act shall be in force from its passage.
