Chap. 155.—An ACT to define a lawful fence for Washington county.
Approved February 14, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That for and
within the county of Washington a fence made of three planks, poles,
wires, or rails, the bottom one of which is not to be more than two feet,
nor less than fifteen inches from the ground, the second one not to be
more than twenty inches, nor less than sixteen inches from the
first one, and the third or Jast one not more than twenty, nor
less than sixteen inches from the second or centre one, shall be deemed a
lawful fence: provided, that any other fence at least four and a half feet
high shall also be a lawful fence.
2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act are hereby re-
pealed.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
