Chap. 142.—An ACT to renew the charter of the town of Clintwood, in Dick-
enson county, and to appoint officers for same.
Approveu February 14, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an act
entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Clintwood, in
Dickenson county, approved March third, eighteen hundred and ninety-
four, be, and the same is, hereby renewed and put in full force and effect.
2. The following-named persons are hereby appointed to fill the fol-
lowing offices until the first day of July. nineteen hundred and two, and
until their suecessors are duly elected and qualified—namely: William
M. Thornbury, mayor; T. W. Thornbury. sergeant, and the councilmen
as follows: William L. Brown, D. G. Kelley, Robert W. Wright. and
Roland E. Chase. Said persons are to take the oaths of ofliee and enter
upon the discharge of the duties of their respective offices as soon as
practicable after the passage of this act, and they are hereby clothed
with all the power and shall be subject to all the provisions appertain-
ing to their respective offices.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
