Chap. 104.—An ACT to authorize the Clinton Hatcher camp of Confederate
veterans of Loudoun county, the sons of Confederate veterans of Loudoun
county, and the daughters of the Confederacy of Loudoun county to erect
a monument to the memory of the Confederate soldiers of Loudoun county
on the southwest corner of the courthouse square in Leesburg, Loudoun
county. and to authorize the board of supervisors of said county to contri-
bute to the erection of said monument.

1. Be it enacted hy the general assembly of Virginia, That the Clinton
Hatcher camp of Confederate veterans of Loudoun county, the sons of
Confederate veterans of Loudoun county, and the daughters of the Con-
federacy of Loudoun county be, and are, hereby authorized to erect on
the southwest corner of the court-house square in Leesburg, Loudoun
county, a monument to the memory of the Confederate soldiers of Lou-
doun county who served in the Confederate army during the civil war
of eighteen hundred and sixty-one to eighteen hundred and sixty-five.
2. The board of supervisors of Loudoun county are hereby authorized
to select the site in the sonthwest corner of the said court-house square
in Leesburg, Loudoun county, on which to erect said monument, and the
said monument shall be erected on the site so selected by the said board
of supervisors.
3. The said board of supervisors of Loudoun county are hereby
authorized, in their discretion, to donate to the erection of said monu-
ment not exceeding the sum of five hundred dollars, to assist the Clin-
ton Hatcher camp of Confederate veterans of Loudoun county, the sons
of Confederate veterans of Loudoun county, and the daughters of the
Confederacy of Loudoun county in erecting said monument.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
