Chap. 607.--An ACT for the relief of H. L. Stone, late treasurer of Pulaski
county.

1. Be it enacted by the general assemblv of Virginia, That H. L.
Stone, late treasurer of Pulaski county, and his several deputies be, and
they are hereby, given the power to levy and distrain as is possessed bv
treasurers under the revenue laws to collect all State taxes and county
levies assessed for the years eightcen hundred and ninety-six, eighteen
hundred and ninety-seven, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, and eigh-
teen hundred and ninety-nine in said county of Pulaski which have not
been collected or returned delinquent or insolvent, and for which the
said late treasurer has settled with the auditor of publie accounts and
with the board of supervisors. The right to collect such State taxes and
county levies by levy and distress shall continue for one year from the
passage of this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
