Chap. 603.—An ACT to protect Mongolian or Knghsh pheasants in Rockbridg:
and Augusta counties,
Approved April 2, 1902.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall he
unlawful to kill or capture, sell or offer to sell, or buy any Mongolian or
English pheasants in the countics of Roe kbridge and Augusta between
the first day of March, ninetcen hundred and two, and the first day of
March, nineteen hundred and four.
The possession, except. for the purposes of breeding, of anv Mongolian
or English pheasants, whether dead or alive, by any person shall be
prima facie evidence that such person has violated the provisions of this
act.
Any person convicted of violating any provision of this act shall be
fined not less than five dollars nor more than twenty-five dollars.
3. This act shall] be in force from its passage.
