Chap. 45.—An ACT to validate certificates of acknowledgment taken by persons
styling themselves officers authorized by law to take and certify acknowledg-
ments, but whose terms of office had expired prior to the taking and certifying
thereof.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That all certifi-
ates of acknowledgment to deeds and other writings heretofore taken
ind certified by persons styling themselves officers authorized by law to
ake and certify acknowledgments, but whose terms of office had expired
rior to the taking and certifying thereof, shall be held, and the same
re hereby declared, valid and effective in all respects, if otherwise valid
iccording to the law then in force.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
