1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, ‘hat an act ap
proved February fifteenth, nineteen hundred and one, entitled “an act t!
amend and re-enact an act entitled an act for the protection of game 1
Floyd county, approved March seventh, eighteen hundred and ninety’
four,” be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 1. That it shall not be lawful to kill or capture partridges in th
county of Floyd between the first day of February and the fifteenth day o
October, nor to kill or capture pheasants or wild turkeys between the firs
day of March and the first day of October of any year, and it shall no
be lawful for a non-resident of the county of Floyd to kill or captur
partridges, wild turkeys, rabbits, or any other wild game in the county ¢
Floyd at any time, to be sold, shipped, or taken out of the county
Floyd; nor shall it be lawful for any one to catch partridges, pheasant:
or wild turkeys with nets or traps, or take or destroy their eggs, in th
county of Floyd at any time.
§ 2. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this a
shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than five nor more than fift
dollars, and shall be committed to jail by the judge or justice presiding ¢
the trial until the fine and costs are paid.
