1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
hree of the act entitled an act to incorporate the Holston River and
vastern Railway, approved February twelfth, nineteen hundred and one,
e, and the same is hereby, amended and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
OWS:

§ 3. That the said company is authorized to construct, equip, main-
ain, and operate a railway of such gauge, with such number of tracks
nd with such motive power as its board of directors may, from time to
ime, adopt, along any practicable route from any point in Smyth county
0 any point in Washington and Tazewell counties.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
