Chap. 281.—An ACT to make the boundary lines of lots and tracts of land in
Greenesville county a lawful fence.
Approved March 25, 1902.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That within the
county of Greenesville, in the State of Virginia, the boundary lines of
each lot or tract of land shall be, and are hereby, declared a lawful fence,
and all animals going at large in said county shall be subject to the pro-
visions of sections two thousand and forty-two, two thousand and forty-
mine, and two thousand and fifty of the Code of Virginia: provided, that
the said county of Greenesville shall maintain a lawful fence as pro-
vided by section two thousand and thirty-eight of the Code of Virginia,
or any acts amendatory thereof, along the line between the county of
Greenesville and the county of Southampton, except such part of said
boundary line as is formed by the Meherrin river.
2. This act shall be in force from and after the first day of January,
nineteen hundred and three.
