Chap. 26.—An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 5 and 6 of an act entitle
“an act to incorporate Machapungo bridge,” approved March 3, 1898, and t
add an additional section thereto.

Approved December 19, 1901.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
five and six of an act. entitled an act to incorporate Machapungo bride
approved March third, eighteen hundred and ninety-cight, be amendet
and re-enacted and an additional section he added thereto so as to rea
as follows:
$5. The provisions of section thirty-eight hundred and sixty-five of
the Code of Virginia prescribing a penalty for “fast riding or driving
ove r a bridge” are hereby made applicable to the toll-bridge erected here-
under.

$6. The taxes accruing from the said incorporation shall be paid in
awful money of the United States, and not in coupons.

This act shall be in force from its passage, but the general assem-

i of Virginia reserves the right to alter or repeal this act at any time
hereafter.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
