Chap. 21.—An ACT to authorize J. N. Whittaker, of Amelia county, Virginia, to
hecome a notary publie in the State of Virginia while acting as clerk to United
States officials.

Approved December 19, 1901.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Joshua
Naylor Whittaker, of Amelia county, Virginia, be, and he is hereby, au-
thorized to become a notary public in the State of Virginia, by like ap-
pointment as other notaries public now appointed in said State, notwith-
standing Joshua Naylor Whittaker shall hold a clerical position under
officials of the United States government.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
