Chap. 993.—An ACT authorizing and directing the entry of satisfaction on
the judgment lien docket of Wise county of a certain judgment in favor of
the commonwealth against Ira Gilliam, late sheriff of Wise county, and the
sureties on his official bond as such sheriff.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas a Judgment was rendered in the circuit court of the city
of Richmond on the twelfth day of November, eighteen hundred and
seventy-three, in favor of the commonwealth against lra Gillam, late
sheriff of Wise county, and H. H. Dotson and other sureties on the
official bond of said sheriff, for the sum of fourteen hundred and sixty-
seven dollars and ninety cents, with interest and costs, which Judgment
is docketed in the judgment lien docket of Wise county, in judgment
lien docket number two, page nine; and
Whereas, pursuant to law, the said judgment was fully compromised,
adjusted, and finally settled by and with the auditor of public accounts,
but entry of satisfaction of said judgment has never been made upon
said lien docket; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
clerk of the county court of Wise county be, and he is hereby, author-
ized and directed to enter satisfaction of said judgment upon the said
lien docket.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
