Chap. 990.—An ACT for the relief of Martha Britzendine, widow of a Confed-
erate soldier.

Whereas William B. Britzendine, some time of the county of Craig,
received wounds while in the service of the Confederate states, which
wounds incapacitated him from making a living at manual labor, and in
which condition he died from injuries received in said service; and
Whereas Martha Britzendine, the widow of the said William B.
Britzendine, deceased, a resident of the county of Craig, in the state
of Virginia, is in very destitute circumstances, and has no income what-
ever; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
the proof of these alleged facts before the county court of Craig county
the auditor of public accounts is directed to pay to her, the said Martha
Britzendine, the sum of thirty dollars annually out of any money in
the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
