Chap. 965.—An ACT for the relief of James H. Wilson.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas James Wilson, of the county of Franklin, is hable to the
state of Virginia in the sum of three hundred dollars, due by forfeited
recognizance obtained against him manv years ago as surety for one
Edward Crews, charged with perjury, the said Crews having failed to
appear as required by the terms of his recognizance; and
Whereas the said Wilson, as required by law, has filed his petition in
the circuit court of Bedford where the recognizance was forfeited, and
has obtained the favorable recommendation of the judge of this court.
that the amount of this recognizance should be remitted; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
said James H. Wilson be, and hereby is, relieved from all liability
upon the recognizance aforesaid.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
