Chap. 946.—An ACT for the relief of H. P. Huddleston, a Confederate sol
of Bedford county.

Whereas H. P. Huddleston, a disabled Confederate soldier, of J
rd county, was a true and gallant soldier during the late war,
yal to Virginia; and
Whereas he was wounded during the war at Hatcher’s Run, receiv
a wound in the right arm, which wound renders the arm almost use-
ess; an
Whercas said H. P. Huddleston is an old man and unable to support
himself; therefore, |
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
county court of Bedford county shall examine into the condition of
the above-mentioned H.P. Huddleston,a Confederate soldier,and should
it be that he has suffered and is incapacitated as above stated, and
that he is needy and poor, and should receive aid from Virginia; and
if the county court of Bedford county shall send a certificate of the
facts to the auditor of public accounts of Virginia, that the auditor
of public accounts is directed to place the name of H. P. Huddleston
on the pension list, and pay him annually the sum of fifteen dollars,
on and after the first day of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
