Chap. 937.—An ACT for the relief of S. G. Robinson & Company, assigne
of M. C. Stoneman.

Whereas one M. C. Stoneman, of the county of Carroll, did care f
and maintain one Creed Stoneman, a lunatic, under an order of tl
county court of Carroll county entered at the January term, eightec
hundred and ninety-six, at the price of thirty-five cents per day, :
allowed by law; and
Whereas at a county court held for said county at the April tern
eighteen hundred and ninety-six, the said M. C. Stoneman was allowe
the sum of thirty-one dollars and fifty cents for such care and maint
hance; and
Whereas said allowance was duly certified by said court to the audit
of publie accounts for payment, but payment was refused by the sai
auditor of public accounts; and
Whereas the said M. C. Stoneman assigned and transferred said elau
tc S. G. Robinson and company betore the same was presented to th
auditor of public accounts for payment; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That th
auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, directed to issue bh
warrant upon the treasurer of the state of Virginia in favor of th
said S. G. Robinson and company for the sum of thirty-one dollars an
fifty cents, payable out of any money in the treasury not otherwis
appropriated, which sum, when received by the said S. G. Robinso
and company shall be in full of the amount due the said M. C. Stone
man on account of the said allowance made by the said county court o
Carroll.
This act shall be in force from its passage.
