Chap. 930.—An ACT for the relief of Mildred A. Lewis, of Appomattox.

Whereas Mildred A. Lewis is the widow of Shedrack A. Lewis, w
was a soldier in the Confederate army, and a member of the four
cavalry regiment in Wickham’s brigade, and while serving in said re;
ment was shot through the leg, and suffered an amputation of his |
in consequence of said wound, and was for years an invalid, compell
to lie upon his back and unable to do any work in consequence of sa
wound and amputation; and
Whereas his widow, the said Mildred A. Lewis, is now old and fect
and indigent and unable to make a support—
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That t
auditor of public accounts of Virginia is hereby directed, on the fa
above alleged being proved before the county court of Appomatt
county, to place the name of the said Mildred A. Lewis upon the pensi
rolls for a pension of thirty dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
