Chap. 93.—An ACT for the protection of fish in Gunstock creek, Bedford
county, Virginia.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall not
be lawful for any person to kill or take by spear, hook, net, or otherwise.
any fish commonly known as brook trout in Gunstock ‘reek, in the
county of Bedford, for one vear from the passage of this act.
2. That any person violating any of the provisions of this act shall
be doomed cuilty ofa misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof shall be
punished for each offence by fine not exceeding twenty dollars. In the
prosecution for the violation of any of the provisions of this act the
possession by the person of any of the fish mentioned shall be deemed
prima facie evidence of his guilt.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
