Chap. 905.—An ACT to prohibit the killing of young sturgeon in James river
and its tributaries.
Approved March 6, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful for any person to kill any young sturgeon under two fect
in length in the James river or any of the tributaries thereof.
2. Any person violating the provisions of this act, shall be deemed
cuilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined
five dollars for each offense, one-half of said fine to go to the in-
former.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
