Chap. 891.—An ACT for the relief of H. L. Stone, treasurer of Pulaski county.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That H. L.
Stone, treasurer of Pulaski county, and his several deputies, be, and
they are hereby, given the same power to levy and distrain as is pos-
sessed by treasurers under the revenue laws, to collect all state taxes and
county levies assessed for the years of eighteen hundred and ninety-
four, eighteen hundred and ninety-five, eighteen hundred and ninety-
six, eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, and eighteen hundred and
ninety-eight, in said county, which have not been collected or returned
delinquent or insolvent, and for which the said treasurer has settled
with the auditor of public accounts and with the board of supervisors.
The right to collect such state taxes and county levies by levy and dis-
tress shall continue for one year from the passage of this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
