Chap. 862.-An ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of the county of
Isle of Wight, Virginia, to appoint a special collector of delinquent county
taxes and levies, and allow compensation for same.
Approved March 6, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of the county of Isle of Wight be, and it is hereby,
authorized and empowered, by and with the approval of the judge of
the said county, to appoint a special collector of the delinquent county
taxes and levies for the years eighteen hundred and ninety-four, eigh-
teen hundred and ninety-five, eighteen hundred and ninety-six, eighteen
hundred and ninety-seven, and eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, and
to allow him a reasonable compensation for same, not to exceed thirty
per centum on what may be collected and paid in to the proper county
officials.
2. Such special collector, before he acts, shall execute a bond in a
penalty approved by the said board of supervisors, with condition that
he will faithfully collect said taxes and levies, and account for and pay
the same to the proper county officials.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
