Chap. 82.—An ACT to amend the charter of the Leesburg and Point of Rocks
turnpike company and to confirm its title to certain road-bed.
Approved January ll, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the action
of the said road board be, and the same hereby is, ratified and confirmed,
and the said turnpike company is hereby authorized and empowered
to use, occupy and enjoy the said public road as a road-bed for their said
turnpike so far as they have metalled and graded the same, so long as
they shall keep the same in good and proper repair as provided by law,
and they are further empowered to make use of the residue of said road
from the Limestone branch to the Point of Rocks, on the same terms
and conditions, they charging no tolls on the said continuance of same
until they shall have graded and metalled the same in accordance with
the terms of their charter and the general provisions of the law.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
