Chap. 758.—An ACT to refund to Byrd Willis $104, illegally withheld from
him by superintendent of penitentiary.

Whereas Byrd Willis, a regularly commissioned officer of the Virginia
penitentiary, was from his post of duty on furlough, issued by super-
intendent in accordance with the rules of the prison, was not subject to
charge for time lost; and
Whereas Superintendent Juynn deducted from his salary sundry ac-
counts aggregating one hundred and four dollars, as appears from ap-
pended statement of the clerk of the penitentiary: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts be, and is hereby, directed “to issue to said
Byrd Willis a warrant on the state treasurer for the sum of one hundred
and four dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
