Chap. 754.—An ACT to authorize the judge of the county court of Stafford
to grant and convey land for a site to build a monument to the memory of
the Confederate dead of said county.

Approved March 6, 1900.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
judge of the county court of Stafford be, and he is hereby, authorized
ind empowered to grant and convey the right to D. M. Lee, Hugh Adie,
H. G. Chesley, C. L. Kennedy, E. Lucas, E. R. Cooper, R. M. Jones, and
>. J. French, members of monumental committee, to erect a monument
0 the memory of the Confederate dead of said county on lands of said
-ounty to be hereafter selected by the said monumental committee.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
