Chap. 740.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 41, chapter 5, of an act
entitled an act to incorporate the city of Radford, Virginia, approved
January 22, 1892.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
forty-one, chapter five, of an act entitled an act to incorporate the city
of Radford, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 41. There shall be elected by the qualified voters of the city on
the fourth Thursday in May in every six years after the year eighteen
hundred and ninety-two one clerk of the court of hustings for the city of
Radford, who shall serve for the period of six years and until his successor
be elected and qualified. He shall receive in compensation for his ser-
vices the fees and emoluments allowed by law to clerks and such allow-
ances as the city council may from time to time deem just and proper:
provided, such allowance shall not be less than two hundred and fifty
dollars ($250) in any one year.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
