Chap. 734.—An ACT for the relief of Mary E. Sawyer.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
state taxes for the years eighteen hundred and ninety-five and eighteen
hundred and ninety-six, assessed by the commissioner of revenue for the
city of Norfolk against Mary E. Sawyer, upon house and lot number
six Hamlin avenue in Brambleton ward in the city of Norfolk, Virginia,
be, and the same are hereby, released, the said taxes for each of said years
having been paid upon said house and lot by A. E. Sawyer, the husband
of said Mary E. Sawyer, against whom said house and lot had also been
assessed, as number Hamlin avenue in said ward; and the clerk of
the corporation court of the city of Norfolk is directed to mark released
on the proper books in his office. the said taxes for the years eighteen
hundred and ninety-five and eighteen hundred and ninety-six assessed as
aforesaid against the said Marv FE. Sawver.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
