Chap. 721.—An ACT to authorize Sarah Willing and W. L. Messick to erect
a wharf on Carter’s creek, in the county of Lancaster.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Sarah
Willing and William L. Messick, administrators of the estate of Thomas
J. Willing, deceased, of the county of Lancaster, be, and they are hereby,
authorized to erect a wharf on Carter’s creek, on the land belonging to
the heirs of Thomas J. Willing, deceased, in the village of Irvington,
in the county of Lancaster, subject to all the laws of the state governing
wharves erected in the waters of the commonwealth: ‘provided, that the
said wharf shall not obstruct navigation, nor interfere with any private
right: and provided, also, that this act shall at all times be under the
control of the general assembly, and be amended or repealed as may be
deemed proper.
2. This act shall he in force from its passage.
