Chap. 720.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to impose
fine for trespass of swine and other stock in Rockfish district, Nelson
county, approved February 9, 1900.

1. Be it enacted by the general assemblv of Virginia. That section
one of an act approved February ninth, nineteen hundred, entitled an
act to impose -fine for trespass of swine and other stock in Rockfish
district, Nelson county, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
§ 1. That if any swine, horses, cows, or sheep in Rockfish magisterial
district, except Mays’ store precinct of said district, in the county of
Nelson, Virginia, get from the public roads in the said district and
trespass upon the lands in the limits aforesaid, the owner or manager
of such animals shall be liable for all damages or injury done by said
animals to the owner of the crops or lands upon which they may tres-
pass, whether the said animals wander from the owner in the county or
district in which the trespass was committed or from another county
or district.
2. The damages and awards in all cases arising under this act shall
be ascertained in the manner and under the laws now in force for trespass
and damage.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
