Chap. 710.—An ACT to prevent persons trespassing on a train or car from
jumping on or off.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That if any
person, not being a passenger or employee, but a trespasser, shall be
found upon any railroad car or train of any railroad in this state, or
shall jump on or off any car or train on its arrival, stay, or departure at
or from any station or depot of such railroad, or on the passage of any
such car or train over any part of any such railroad, such person so
offending shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction
shall be punished by a fine of not less than two dollars and fifty cents,
nor more than ten dollars, or by imprisonment in jail not exceeding thirty
days, or both.
