Chap. 707.—An ACT to allow R. N. Turner, late treasurer of Goochland
county, further time to collect taxes and levies uncollected, but accounted
for by him.

Whereas R. N. Turner, late treasurer of Goochland county, has in his
hands various tickets for taxes and Jevies uncollected and due since the
year eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and prior to the year eighteen
hundred and ninety-nine, for which he has accounted: therefore,

1. Be it enacted hv the general assembly of Virginia, That authority
is hereby given to said R. N. Turner, late treasurer as aforesaid, to collect
said tickets for taxes and levies, for which he has accounted to the
nroper authorities, with the same powers of levy and distress that treas-
urers now have for the collection of current taxes and levies, and that
this power shall continue and extend for one year from the passage of
his act.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
