Chap. 693.—An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of
Charles City county, Virginia, to aid in the erection of a monument to the
Confederate soldiers of said county by assigning a location on the court-
house green and by contributing thereto a sum not exceeding $300.
Approved March 2, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Charles City county be, and is hereby, authorized
and empowered, in the discretion of said board, to contribute out of the
county funds a sum not exceeding three hundred dollars, to aid in the
erection of a monument to the Confederate soldiers of said county, on
the court-house green of said county, and to levy a tax for said purpose.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
