Chap. 681.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Albemarle county
to issue bonds of the said county for the purpose of erecting bridges therein.
Approved March 2, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
oard of supervisors of Albemarle county be, and they hereby are, au-
norized and empowered to issue the bonds of said county to an amount
ot exceeding seven thousand five hundred dollars, payable not exceeding
wenty years after their date and bearing interest at a rate not exceed-
ag four per centum per annum, pay able semi- annually, and in the sum
f one hundred dollars each or multiples of one hundred dollars, the
ame to be sold at not less than par, and their proceeds applied to the
rection of one or more iron bridges in the said county at points where
he same may be needed in the public roads crossing the streams in
aid county. The said bonds shall be signed by the chairman of the
aid board and the clerk thereof, and may be either registered or coupon
nds, and interchangeable from one to the other, and the same shall
e exempt from all county and district taxation.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
