Chap. 678.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Scott county
to lay levies to pay all outstanding road warrants.
Approved March 2, 1900.
1. Be it enacted bv the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Seott county, Virginia, are herebv authorized
to lay a levy for the purpose of liquidating all the outstanding road
warrants of said county: provided, that the levy in each of the seven
magisterial districts of the county shall not exceed the indebtedness
of said district.
The said levy to be collected as other taxes, and turned over to the
county treasurer, who shall keep the funds from each district separate
and pay it to those presenting the warrants issued from their district
from which said money was collected.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
