Chap. 623.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of
Prince Edward to make an appropriation for the purpose of aiding in erect-
ing a monument to the memory of the Confederate dead.

Approved March 6, 1900.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of the county of Prince Edward be, and they are
hereby, authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to make an appro-
priation not exceeding four hundred dollars, to aid in the erection of a
monument in the county of Prince Edward, in memory of the Con-
federate dead.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
