Chap. 622.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Washington
county, Virginia, to compromise and settle a judgment against the securities
of the late John G. Gray, late treasurer of Washington county, Virginia,
in favor of Washington county.
Approved March 65, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
of supervisors of Washington county, Virginia, be, and they are hereby,
authorized and empowered to compromise and settle, upon terms which
they may deem proper, with the securities and the personal represen-
tatives of any who may be dead of John C. Gray, deceased, late treasurer
of Washington county, Virginia, a judgment entered at the September
term, eighteen hundred and ninety-five, of the circuit court of Wash-
ington county, Virginia, for the sum of one thousand five hundred and
fifty-three dollars and seventy-nine cents, with interest from November
first, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, damages two hundred and
thirty- three dollars and five cents, and costs sixteen dollars and eighty-
nine cents, in favor of Washington county, Virginia, against J. Frank
Gray, William M. Gray, R. E. Gray, J. 8S. Gray, ‘8. J. McChesney, J. S.
King, lL. M. McChesney, T. G. McChesney, J.J. Geisler, J. F. Hanby,
and Abram Brown, and J. F. Gray, administrator of H. M. Diggs, de-
ceased, sureties of J ohn C. Gray, deceased, late treasurer of Washington
county, Virginia.
2. This act shall be enforced from its passage.
