Chap. 614.—An ACT requiring the district school boards of Pleasant Grove,
Butts Road, and Deep Creek districts to hold bi-monthly meetings, and
to receive compensation for the same.
Approved March 6, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the district
board of school trustees of Pleasant Grove district, Butts Road district,
and Deep Creek district, in Norfolk county, Virginia, shall hold regu-
lar bi-monthly meetings, and such additional meetings as the work of
the board may require, at such times and places in their respective
districts as may be determined by a majority of the trustees of the re-
spective districts for the purpose of transacting all business pertaining
to the duties of said board.
2. The school trustees of said district boards shall receive compensa-
tion at the rate of two dollars per day for actual attendance on meet-
ings of the district school boards, payable from the district funds: pro-
vided, however, that no trustee, as aforesaid, other than clerks, shall
receive more than fifteen dollars in any one year for services rendered
on said district school board.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
