Chap. 605.—An ACT to reduce the travel rate of the Louisville and Nash-
ville railroad company from four cents per mile to three cents per mile in
the state of Virginia.

Whereas the Louisville and Nashville railroad company has a rail-
road constructed through the county of Lee and a part of Wise, state
of Virginia, and has been using said road under completion for about
nine years at a travel rate of four cents per mile; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That said
railroad company shall reduce their rate of travel to a rate not exceed-
ing three cents per mile as other railroad companies in Virginia, for a
person and baggage, which baggage shall not exceed one hundred and
fifty pounds in weight.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
