Chap. 570.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act approved January 23, 1900.
entitled an act authorizing the council of the town of Woodstock to issue
bonds and borrow money for the purpose of establishing a system of water-
works for said town and other purposes.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the act
approved January twenty-third, nineteen hundred, entitled an act to
authorize the council of the town of Woodstock to issue bonds and
borrow money for the purpose of establishing a system of water-works
for said town and for other purposes be amended and re-enacted so as
to read as follows:
To establish a system of water-works for said town within or without
the limits of said town; to contract, or agree with the owners of anv
land for the use and purchase thereof, or to have the same condemned
according to law within or without the town for the location, extension.
and enlargement of their said works, the pipes connected therewith.
or any of their appurtenances or fixtures thereof; and shall have power
to protect from injury, by ordinances prescribing adequate penalties.

whether within or without the limits of the said town.
2. The act approved January twenty-third, nineteen hundred, shall
remain as it was then passed as though it was re-enacted herein.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
