Chap. 564.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to com
pensate school trustees, other than clerks, in Westmoreland and North
umberland counties, approved February 2, 1898.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an ac
entitled an act to compensate school trustees, other than clerks, 11
Westmoreland and Northumberland counties, approved February th
second, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, be amended and re-enacte
So as to read as follows:
§ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That for th
school term ending July thirty-first, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight
and annually thereafter, the clerks ‘of the several district school board
in the counties of Westmoreland and Northumberland shall certify t
the superintendents of public schools of their said counties respectively
at the annual meeting in August of every year, the attendance of th
members at the regular monthly meetings of their several district schoo
boards, which certificate, if found correct, and approved by the count:
superintendent, shall entitle the trustees to one dollar and fifty cent:
each for such attendance at their regular monthly meetings, payabl
out of the district school fund upon a warrant issued by the count
superintendent of schools: provided, that no trustee as aforesaid shal
receive more than twelve dollars in any one year for such school ser
vices.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
