Chap. 552.—An ACT for the relief of Charles E. Blankenship.
Approved February 27, 1900.
Whereas Charles E. Blankenship, of the county of Campbell, did
care for and maintain one Mildred A. Maddox, a lunatic, under an
order of the county court of Campbell county, entered at the November
term, eighteen hundred and ninety-two, at the price of fifty cents per
day, as allowed by law; and
Whereas at a county court held for said county at the April term,
eighteen hundred and ninety-six, the said Charles E. Blankenship was
allowed the sum of forty-five dollars and fifty cents for such care and
maintenance; and
Whereas at the June term, eighteen hundred and ninety-six, he was
angwed the further sum of fifteen dollars for such care and maintenance;
an
Whereas said allowances were duly certified by the said court to the
auditor of public accounts for payment, but payment was refused by
the said auditor of public accounts; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, directed to issue his
warrant upon the treasurer of the state of Virginia in favor of Charles
E. Blankenship for the sum of sixty dollars and fifty cents, out of any
money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, which sum, when
received by the said Charles E. Blankenship, shall be in full of the
amount due him on account of the said allowances made by the said
county court of Campbell county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
