Chap. 545.—An ACT making the injury to or destruction of fences or cattle
stops along the line of railroads a misdemeanor, and prescribing the
penalty therefor.

1. Re it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That any persor
who shall maliciously cut or break down, injure, or destroy any fence
erected along the line of any railroad, for the purpose of fencing th
track or depot grounds of such road, or shall break down, injure, 0
destroy any cattle stop along the line of any railroad, shall be deemec
guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishec
by confinement in jail not less than fifteen days, or fined not less tha
ten dollars, or both.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
