Chap. 543.—An ACT for the relief of Mrs. Bettie D. Powell for taxes
erroneously assessed to Edward C. Pollard and paid by her.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, directed to draw his
warrant on the treasurer of the commonwealth, for the sum of one
hundred and forty-eight dollars and eighty cents, in favor of Bettie D.
Powell, to be paid out of any funds in the treasury not otherwise appro-
priated, it being for taxes erroneously assessed to Edward C. Pollard,
trustee for Bettie D. Powell, and paid by her for the years eighteen
hundred and seventy-five, eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, eighteen
hundred and seventy-nine, elghteen hundred and eighty, eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-one, eighteen hundred and eighty-two, eighteen hundred
and eighty-three, eighteen hundred and eighty-four, eighteen hundred
and eighty-five, eighteen hundred and eighty-six, eighteen hundred and
eighty-seven, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, eighteen hundred and
eighty-nine, eighteen hundred and ninety, eighteen hundred and ninety-
one, eighteen hundred and ninety-two, eighteen hundred and ninety-
three, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, eighteen hundred and ninety-
five, and eighteen hundred and ninety-six, on lot number sixteen, square
“J,” corner Marshall and Munford streets, in the city of Richmond.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
