Chap. 534.—An ACT to permit N. Z. Oakley to erect a wharf in Moratico
creek, in Richmond county.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That N. Z.
Oaklev, of the county of Richmond, state of Virginia, be, and he is
hereby, authorized and permitted to erect a pier, not exceeding one
hundred and fifty feet in length and eighty feet in width, inside the
mouth of Moratico creek, near the northwest shore of said creek and
opposite the land of John T. Sullivan and others, lying in the said
county of Richmond. The said N. Z. Oakley shall have the right to re-
new such pier and to hold the same as private property subject to the
laws of the state governing the erection of wharves in the waters of the
commonwealth: provided, said pier shall not obstruct navigation, nor
interfere with any private rights.
