Chap. 500.—An ACT to ratify and confirm charter of the Richmond union
stock-yards company.
Approved February 24, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the charter
of the Richmond union stock yards company, granted by the hustings
court of the city of Richmond, Virginia, on the twenty-fifth day of
June, anno domini, eighteen hundred and ninety-six, be, and the same
is hereby, declared to be as valid to all intents and purposes as if origi-
nally granted by an act of the general assembly of Virginia, duly ap-
proved by the governor, and that all acts heretofore done or hereafter
to be done, all contracts heretofore entered into or hereafter to be entered
into, and all other business heretofore transacted or hereafter to be
transacted by and with the said company, not inconsistent with the
powers sought to be conferred upon it by its said charter, be, and the
same are hereby, declared to be as valid to all intents and purposes as
if the said charter had been originally granted by the general assembly
of Virginia.
2. That said company is hereby authorized to apply to the circuit
court of the city of Richmond for any amendments, alterations, or
changes which it may desire to said charter, and said circuit court of the
city of Richmond is hereby authorized and directed to grant such amend-
ments, alterations, or changes as if said charter had been originally
granted by said circuit court of the city of Richmond, Virginia.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
