Chap. 490.—An ACT to allow G. W. Mercer and sons to build a wharf in Rap-
pahannock river, near Cherry Point, Lancaster county.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That G. W.
Mercer and sons be, and are hereby, authorized to erect a wharf in the
Rappahannock river, near Cherry Point, in Lancaster county, in front
of their property: provided, the same will not interfere with navigation
in said river, and be subject to all the laws of the state governing wharves
and piers erected in the waters of the commonwealth: and provided
further, that this privilege granted shall at all times be under the con-
trol of the general assembly, and amended or repealed as may be deemed
roper. ,
