Chap. 459.—An ACT to authorize the district school boards of Nansemond
county to compensate school trustees.

In effect February 21, 1900.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the dis-
trict school boards of the county of Nansemond, including the school
board of the town of Suffolk in said county, may, in their discretion,
compensate the school trustees of their respective districts, other than
the clerks of said boards, at a rate not exceeding two dollars for each
day of actual service rendered in the discharge of their duties as trus-
tees, payable out of the district school funds: provided, that no trustee
as aforesaid shall receive more than ten dollars in any one year for
the services aforesaid.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
