Chap. 455.—An ACT to allow J. H. Whealton and E. B. Blackman to build
a pier in Rappahannock river near Whealton, at or near the mouth of
Moratico creek.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That J. H.
Whealton and E. B. Blackman be, and are hereby, authorized to erect a
pier in the Rappahannock river near Whealton wharf, at or near the
mouth of Moratico creek, on their oyster planting grounds, for the pro-
tection of their planted oysters: provided, the same will not interfere with
navigation in said river, and be subject to all the laws of the state govern-
ing wharves and piers erected in the waters of the commonwealth: and
provided further, that this privilege granted shall at all times be under
the control of the general assembly, and amended or repealed as may be
deemed proper.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
