Chap. 414.—An ACT to validate the deed of partition of the public square
made between the city of Winchester and the county of Frederick, and the
agreement of compromise therein incorporated.
Approved February 20, 1900.
Whereas a compromise has been effected between the city of Win-
chester and the county of Frederick of their respective rights in the
public square situated in Winchester; and
Whereas the terms of the said compromise have been incorporated
and are contained in a certain deed of partition made by said city of
Winchester and county of Frederick, bearing date as of the fourteenth
day of October, in the year eighteen hundred and ninety-nine; and
Whereas the said deed of partition and the said agreement therein
incorporated has been duly recorded in the clerk’s office of the corpora-
tion court of said city and of the county court of said countv—
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the said
deed of partition made by and between the said city and county, bearing
date as of October fourteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, and of
record as hereinbefore rec ‘ited, and the agreement between the said city
and county incorporated in the said decd be, and the same are hereby,
declared good and valid.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
